Call of duty elite ?

Activision is making digital platform
called CALL OF DUTY ELITE.
It is some kind of social network for Call of duty gamers.
The rumor is that this service is going to be charged about 7-8 USD per month.
Although Activision claimed they will never charge for Call of duty online gaming.
To me it all sounds like a rip-off deal.
Anyway, the thing is that we can expect next sequel of COD franchise to be
EXPENSIVE.

Importance of gaming

Imagine the world without gamers.
Its boring.But you can still play chess and ride your bicycle.
But how many people would lose their jobs ?
Milions, maybe even more.Gaming industry wouldnt even exist.
And thats a lot of people.Silicon valley would be struggling for existence.
Because gamers are the best consumers of their products.
Some old lady who uses computer just for surfing the web and printing
dont need a quad-core processor or graphic card that runs DX11 games.
She dont even need a high speed memory module.
SHE DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT QUAD SLI IS.
Or some old man for example.
He dont even need 22" full hd monitor.
He is gonna use his 15" (or less) old CRT for the rest of his life maybe.
Major graphic cards manufactures would produce GPUs just for videoediting.
The gamers are the main reason for technology improvement.
And they are good buyers.
Maybe im wrong, but i think that world without gamers
would be crippled. So keep playing the games.

Fraps videos compressing with virtualdub

Anyone had problems with compressing Fraps videos?
Here is what you should do :
get Virtualdub, Xvid codec and follow these steps :
open Virtualdub
drag and drop your clip in Virtualdub
go to options-preferences-3d accel - enable it
if you have dual core processor go to
options-preferences-threading-set threading to 1
save and ok
go to video-compression select Xvid MPEG-4 codec - configure
set maximum quality.
go to file-save as AVI and let the computer do the rest.
